The Event: Superbarocco Arte a Genova da Rubens a Magnasco

 

When: From March 26 to July 3 2022 (Monday – Sunday 10.00/20.00)

 

Where: Scuderie del Quirinale – Via XXIV Maggio 16, Rome.

 

Why: the plus of this exhibit? It is a combination of different forms of art which recounts the wealth, splendor, cultural melting pot in the 17th and 18th century.

The eagerly-awaited Superbarocco Arte a Genova da Rubens a Magnasco exhibition celebrates a golden era. On display are 120 artworks from the 17th and 18th century, a period that saw the city of Genoa reaching the peak of its power not only in financial terms but also in the cultural and artistic field. The artworks showcased include a few masterpieces by Rubens, Van Dyck, Grechetto and Magnasco, loans offered by some of the most important museums and private collections in the world.

Designed for: the exhibition has been designed for a wide audience and is considered the most important artistic event of the season.

Visiting time: around 2 hours

Our suggestion: between the first and the second floor of the venue you can find a huge window, designed by architect and designer Gae Aulenti, which offers the opportunity to enjoy the amazing view of the typical roofs of the center and the  domes of the Roman churches, a one-off corner of the city.

After the visit of such an interesting exhibit, we suggest to enjoy a moment of relaxation outdoor. Walking across the road flanking the Quirinale building, you can easily reach the ancient Via Gregoriana and then get to one of the most enchanting sites of Rome.
